Difficult problems, easier solutions
Tight hip flexors can twist your pelvis, putting undue pressure on your piriformis and deep hip rotators leading to low back pain, SI joint pain, and nerve pain. The Orbit releases tension in these areas, and improves the balance and alignment of your core.
Warm Up with the Orbit
Maximize your application of the Mark by using the Orbit to warm up the hip flexor region. Then use the Orbit for the piriformis and glute area to restore mobility and alignment in your lower back, hips, feet, and knees.

The Orbit is approximately 4 inches in diameter. This makes it larger than a tennis or lacrosse ball. Unlike those smaller balls, the Orbit is the perfect size able to get deep enough into your body to reach the general area of the psoas muscle.
The Orbit has the ideal clinically informed density, not too hard and not too soft. This allows you to both target and release this hard-to-address region.
Yes. Feel free to experiment to discover what’s best for you. Check out your glute area on the back side of your hips. The piriformis and other deep hip rotator muscles are commonly tight alongside a tight psoas and iliacus.
The Orbit is used to target the psoas muscle only. However, for best results, both parts of the hip flexor (the iliacus and the psoas) must be released. Because of its round shape, the Orbit is not used to target the iliacus muscle on the inside of the pelvic bone.
The Orbit is the perfect companion to the Mark, a tool designed for the psoas and iliacus. After warming up the psoas with the Orbit, use the Mark to apply firm, deep and precise pressure to both your psoas and iliacus muscles.
Additionally, using the Orbit to release tension in the piriformis and glute region will address the tension in these muscles as a result of your tight hip flexors.
Tension on the front and back side of the pelvis can have a huge impact throughout the entire body because it can twist your core. This affects not only your back and hips, but your lower and upper body as well.
The Orbit, in conjunction with the Mark, Band, and the recommendations in the book Tight Hip Twisted Core, has helped thousands of people with:

– SI joint pain
– Hip pain
– Hip impingement
– Piriformis syndrome
– Knee pain
– Plantar fasciitis
– Bunions
– Disc injuries
– Scoliosis
